It just hasn’t been this.
I picked up a new retail outlet recently in hopes of driving more business in general. Exposure is always good – and while the profit when selling wholesale is meager, I’m confident that it helps drive business overall. So, I’ve been busy with these:
And yeah, I need to dye more, but for the online shop. There’s just so much on my plate that I lose track.
Anyway, it’s off to drop these at the shop, dye a custom order, run 12 miles and then pack for the garment class this weekend. How on *earth* did I ever get anything done when I was working?
You may need to weave yourself a color gamp, you know – gorgeous colors!
Why thank you, Ma’am.
Unfortunately, that red’ll bleed out all over the place. :-)
Tsk, tsk, Too bad about that red – you can just send it to me for burial.
When you’re working you can’t allow yourself to slow down or you don’t have time to do the things you want to do. So you accomplish more in the time available – but it leaves you shattered. Self-employed: get a little less work done, have time to do more living.
Sarah, I want to read more from you on this, as I’m a little confused. Are you saying to Diane that she should work a little less, so she has time for more living? Or are you saying that compared to working for someone else, working for yourself means YOU can arrange your workload to suit your needs for life-beyond-work?
The latter, at least in theory. Sometimes. Doesn’t matter when I do the work provided it gets done. The flip side is that buckling down and *doing it* can be difficult if you’ve a compelling desire to do something else that’s sitting in another room waiting for you. That’s less likely to happen if you’re working in an office well away from the compelling task.
